Edexcel及BTEC简介
Edexcel—英国爱德思国家职业学历与学术考试机构，是英国规模最大的学历与职业资格考试颁证机构之一。Edexcel 由英国主要职业资格考试机构商业与技术教育委员会（BTEC）和伦敦大学考试与评估委员会（ULEAC）合并而成，这两家教育机构的历史都可以追溯到1838年，历史悠久，享有盛誉。Edexcel的所有课程都有英国教育与技能部（DFES）和英国教学大纲与学历管理委员会（QCA）共同监管。每年，在遍布全球的110多个国家中的7000多所教学中心，有500多万人选择Edexcel的课程。

Edexcel BTEC provide various vocational qualifications in Britain.
As the UK’s largest awarding body and major global educational
services provider, Edexcel’s broad range of vocational qualifications
is second to none and has been designed to meet learners’ needs,
whatever their levels and learning styles. Edexcel works closely
with key decision makers in education to ensure its qualifications

The wide range covers all sectors including Arts and Media, Beauty
Therapy, Business, Computing and ICT, Construction and Civil Engineering,

and Skills Council targets, which not only enable students to

Syllabus for BTEC curriculum are made by experienced professionals

Now, in China, other than Beijing, BTEC programs are run in Shanghai,

qualification.

Notes:
* National Diploma/Certificate(ND/NC) courses can be delivered
in Chinese and students are allowed to do their assignments in
Chinese.
Higher National Diploma/Certificate(HND/HNC) courses must be delivered
in English and students must do their assignments in English.
* All BTEC curriculums are delivered by unit. Each area has some
subjects, which is formed by some units including Core Units and
Option Units.
A HND subject has 16 units and a HNC subject has 10 units. 60
learning hours for each unit.
A ND subject has 18 units and a NC subject has 12 units. 60 learning
hours for each unit.
* How many learning hours a short course contains depends on the
subject and the time that learners can spend on it.
